The unfamiliar place that I decided to go to was CiCi’s pizza.

Whenever I go somewhere new I always feel a little awkward. I never know what to expect so I put an idea into my head, and usually the places never turn out as good as they it would in my head. When I walked into CiCi’s it was smaller than I had expected, and things just went downhill from there. It turned out that a bunch of old people go there, and the food turned out being not so great. I tweeted about all the food that I ate (see above), and it was nothing special. I was happy I tried eating someplace new though because I always go to the same place. I went out of my comfort zone, and it was a new experience.

I can relate to the characters in Dubliners because these boys wanted a new adventure. They wanted to live and do something that they had never done before. They spent quite some time walking to their destination, and I spent about forty minutes driving to mine. The boys were eating food when they encountered the old man; just like I did. Overall, the boys didn’t seem too excited about their trip because it wasn’t what they were expecting. It was a letdown for both me and the characters.
